How do I know how much I will be paid?
For the 2022-2023 year, the guaranteed minimum stipend (after tuition but not including fees such as health insurance) for all students who are within the funded cohort, both M. Sc. (up to 2 years) and Ph. D (up to 4 years), is $20,800. If you had an undergraduate average of A- or better, you will receive an additional $1000, for a take-home of $21,800. If you are a student who is outside of the funded cohort, Lett funding and/or supervisorial agreements may apply.
For any work as a TA, marker, or demonstrator, you will receive pay in addition to your stipend. For detailed information on working as a TA, marker, or demonstrator in biology, take a look at the handbook document under the "Teaching Assistant Handbook" tab!
Take a look at the guide below for an idea of how to access your stipend information on DalOnline, how to estimate your monthly take-home amount, and how to understand your pay stub.
